Curriculum
Mr. Masao Ishihara introduced Constructionism based tools and activities
to Japanese schools and private after school programs. He established
his company, Learning Systems Ltd., eleven years ago to develop digital
technology based tools, classroom activities, and training materials
for teachers. His past project includes successful “Robot and Future
Education” program co-developed with Education Department of Saitama
University. This project includes Internet based remote sensing and remote
control of robots activities for primary and middle school students.
He is also a founding member of CREFUS Corporation, operator of after
school Robotics and Science program for primary and middle school students.
He is directing curriculum development at this company to teach students
science and technology through Robotics based activities. He has been
also working closely advanced Research Institutes including CEEO, Tufts
University and MediaLab, MIT.
He holds Master of Science degree from Graduate School of Management,
Boston University (Boston, USA), and bachelor’s degree from International
Christian University (Tokyo, Japan).
