Bob Pomrenke has been with United Airlines for 39 years and has
experience in many facets of the Airline Business. While he has had
assignments in Air Freight, Baggage Service, Consumer Affairs, and IS,
he has been a member of the Corporate Training organization for the past
19 years

As a Senior Staff Specialist in the training organization, Bob has
designed, developed and delivered both Instructor led and Media based
self-study training covering a wide range of topics. Bob served as the
project manager responsible for creating Salesview, a hybrid CD-ROM/WEB
application which won a bronze medal at an international interactive
multimedia competition which drew almost 400 entries.

Over the past few years Bob has been a key player on the Docent LMS
implementation team. The team was responsible for creating a vision and
implementing a long range plan to transition much of United's training
to a multimedia self-study format. That effort has resulted in over
45,000 users and over a quarter of a million course enrollments.

A United Airlines utiliza o LMS Docent para gerenciar FAA, TSA, DOT, e treinamento obrigatórios das organizações incluindo re-qualificação anual. A funcionalidade Docent é usada para planejar e otimizar a agenda de treinamento individual.

A United também está começando a utilizar o sistema Analítico para promover a exploração de dados no que se relaciona à estatística de uso, avaliação de curso, teste de desempenho, performance de trabalho, e variáveis de impacto nos negócios. Este sistema é projetado para levar os tomadores de decisão informados ao menor nível gerencial possível da organização.

A implementação do LMS e do sistema Analítico é voltado para mudanças não intencionais no que se relaciona como a organização gerencia ongoing development e tomadores de decisão. United utilizes the Docent LMS to manage FAA, TSA, DOT, and Company mandated training including annual re-qualification. Docent functionality is used to preplan and optimize individual training
schedules.

United is also starting to use the Analytics system to promote data mining with regard to usage statistics, course evaluations, test performance, job performance, and business impact variables. This system
is designed to push informed decision making to the lowest managerial level possible in the organization.

The implementation of the LMS and the Analytics system is driving unintentional changes with regard to how the organization manages ongoing development and decision making. Hear what we have learned with regard to the intentional management of the implementation of systems that drive large-scale organizational change.
